VELIA

Velia is an elegant 142 m² apartment located in the heart of the old town of Barcelona, where simplicity and sophistication harmoniously coexist. With a private rooftop terrace spanning another 67 m2, and offering panoramic views, this space is a true urban retreat with a Mediterranean charm. This project focuses on creating a calm, inviting space through a thoughtful combination of clean lines, natural materials, and subtle colors. The design reflects a clear commitment to wellbeing, with each element carefully selected to enhance the living experience.

We chose to use soft tones of white, beige, and light wood throughout the apartment to create a timeless and welcoming atmosphere. The open-plan living area seamlessly flows into the dining space, making the most of the natural light that floods through the large windows. The main protagonist is a set of custom-made sculptural murals that were crafted in collaboration with local artisans.

In the bedrooms textured art works and muted hues evoke a sense of tranquility and peace. We incorporated minimalist furniture pieces, prioritizing comfort and simplicity. We also chose to integrate a variety of natural textures, such as wool and linen, to bring warmth and depth to the space.

By focusing on spatial harmony and balance, Velia is designed to feel like a sanctuary, offering its residents a serene environment. To us, Velia is one of those interior design projects that best embody effortless elegance with a Mediterranean touch.
