RUTE
The Rute apartment in the heart of Gracia's district reflects a harmonious blend of country charm and urban sophistication. In this 140 m² space, we combined modern design elements with a touch of traditional warmth to create a unique and inviting atmosphere. The double-height living room creates an open, airy feel, with an iron staircase and wicker furniture pieces that add texture and character to the space. The open-plan kitchen, with its patterned tiles, serves as both a functional and stylish centerpiece, seamlessly flowing into the rest of the living area.
Upstairs we find the master bedroom and work area overlooking the living room and terrace, providing a quiet, inspiring space for concentration. False ceiling beams were added to this space to enhance the overall aesthetic and add a natural touch. The apartment includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each designed with comfort and simplicity in mind. We used a combination of natural materials, including wood and natural fibers, paired with dark metal accents to bring balance and create a contemporary yet cozy atmosphere. The lighting design is equally thoughtful, allowing for different moods and settings depending on the time of day or activity, making the space adaptable for both relaxation and socializing.
In designing the Rute apartment, we focused on integrating functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring that every element not only looked good but also served a purpose in daily living. The natural materials, like the iron staircase and the warm wood finishes, help create a space that feels both grounded and inviting, reflecting a quiet elegance that suits its Barcelona setting.
